Firebreak — Healthcare Timeline: Day 1
Monday morning had arrived…
.. and we still weren’t 100% sure what skill-sets would be available.
We began with a mapped out the resource plan in excel to track progress and availability.
People had committed day tokens of effort, but not specifically what dates out of the 9 available.
The user researchers were keen, their task was to gain feedback on the app designs and find a new name for the app. Using the UR script they were able to head out and start finding participants.
The build challenge was greater. The goal was to deliver a login page that would be shown to users tomorrow, along with a development environment to host it.
Not working on an established platform was a challenge and would require innovation.
Outcomes from the day
After a slight panic of low attendance at the show and tell, came the pleasant surprise that UR and Build were in flow and had just missed the meeting!
That gave us tangible outputs from Day 1. UR spoke to over 20 participants and Design 1 proved most popular. The temporary name wasn’t completely rejected, though the typo/brand was confusing. “Track my Fitness” may be a suitable alternative. All the notes were uploaded to Trello.
Development, despite the lower level of resource, were also able to deliver a static login, hosted on GitHub. This meant that we had something we could take into UR tomorrow even if we couldn’t move any cards into Done.
