First Show and Tell

With resource and capacity lined up for next week, we are not giving up yet. Today sees our first full Show and Tell and Retro, hopefully that will provide people with the opportunity to express their enthusiasm and/or concerns for the project. We definitely have something to demo and it will be a good opportunity to prepare for the final presentation.

Analysis of the User Research is a priority today, without disseminating this information within the delivery team it feels a bit like flying blind.

Outcomes from Day 5

“A bit boring compared to other apps like Apple health — which is much more colourful and looks a lot nice to use”
Rachel — 41 — London

Analysis of User Research sentiment and the Retrospective outcomes did not give outright rejection of the idea. The message is more that it needs to be developed further. This includes:

  • The term ‘PHR’ needs to go, it confused people
  • More introduction text and instructions / context were needed
  • The USP of the app needs to be clear

The app needs a documented explanation asap — this will provide another chance to focus on vision.

Both users and the delivery team provided useful suggestions for enhancements which have been added to the backlog including:

  • Mental health gauging and
  • Introduction of gamification
  • User filtered graphs

The Show and Tell and Retro was attended by some of the key contributors from the week. There was a general theme of resource challenges that will need to be addressed in future Firebreaks. There is also a need to include a better product description in the UR guidance. The team did appreciate the freedom to use technology that was available.

Show and Tell Prezi

Finally, Prezi worked okay, even over web-ex, so we will iterate this next week.
