Leadership 2.0, a developing story
I’ve not blogged in a little while, because sometime you need to just get stuck in and learn new lessons.
Firstly I’m reading Jack and Suzy Welch’s book ‘The Real Life MBA’. A great book I'd thoroughly recommend.
Secondly I’m looking at ways to improve my leadership communication style. Not specifically the ethos or process, I’m still a huge advocate of servant leadership, rather how to developer my softer skills without losing my leadership identity.
This includes things like varying tone of voice, varying the formality of meetings and staggering process roll out. All without changing the type of person that makes me, me.
All a work in progress and I'll let you know how things go.
Thirdly I’m considering the future of my technical professionalism. After over a decade as an IT professional, now may be the time to move further into business.
